Anne Marie Blaire has over 15 years' experience with several high profile retail and fashion brands as both a retail executive and strategy consultant. Her focus is brand development, anchored by consumer research and competitive benchmarking.
Before recently creating Black Dog, AnneMarie had been an independent consultant since 2005. She has implemented strategy, brand growth and marketing projects for American Greetings, Blue Tulip, Macy's and Teleflora. Anne Marie is also a co-founder of and consultant to Jule, a chain of women's fashion accessories boutiques headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.
With extensive experience in fashion apparel and accessories, Anne Marie has led frequent consumer “shop alongs”, interviews and focus groups providing her with an on-going dialogue with Tweens, Millenials and women regarding their fashion aptitude, style, trend preferences and cultural influences.
Prior to consulting, Anne Marie was the Director of Internet Brand Development with Limited Brands, where she led the strategic, creative and brand integration process for Limited Brands' $10 billion portfolio of brands. She led the development of VictoriasSecret.com, and Anne Marie was intimately involved with several brand-building innovations.
Also during her tenure at Limited Brands, Anne Marie worked on many strategic and creative projects across the corporation, including many client intimacy projects. She directed the development of the proprietary Express Fashion Insider Panel, which paired a try-on panel with the gathering of in-depth customer psychographics to inform merchandising and marketing activities across channels. Anne Marie also oversaw the strategy, creative development and implementation of several Bath & Body Works initiatives including ArtStuffClub.com and WhiteBarnCandleCo.com.
Previous to joining Limited Brands, Anne Marie was an Assistant Vice President with Huntington Bancshares. There she successfully developed and launched the communication & in-store merchandising for an interactive banking concept.
Ms. Blaire received her B.S. degree in Business Administration from the The Ohio State University.
